Bottled. A dark golden beer with a huge light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of crisp malty, alcohol, dusty hops, and straw. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and alcohol, the latter leaving a slight burn in the mouth

Bottle. Golden, clear body, topped by an off-white head, quite dense. Sweetish, fruity aroma with some alcohol, and some malt. Warming in the mouth, quite full-bodied, with fruityness, a nice bitterness and a malty sweetness. Not the best heller bock I’ve had, but sure drinkable. (071121)

33 cL bottle, bbd 06.2007 tasted 11.2007. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a diminished white head. Grainy aroma. Flavour seems a bit old and dry malty with a light spiced note.

(33cl bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a reddish shine and a small foamy tanned head. Sweet and slightly toasted malt aroma with marzipan and a subtle fruity touch. Light-sweet flavour, quite slim bodied with a light carbonated mouthfeel. Light roasty malty base with a faint touch of caramel; sweet and slightly bitter finish with a touch of nothingness. Bland and boring brew.

(on tap at the Int. Bierbörse, Löhne) Dark brown colour with a small creamy off-white layer. Sweet roasted barley malt aroma, slightly earthy and leafy with a touch of caramel and a light herbal hops presence. Light-sweet flavour with a burnt bitterness, light to medium bodied, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Moderately roasted malty taste with light notes of caramel and hints of cacao; moderately dry, malt-accented finish with a light bitter edge, a whiff of herbal hops and light notes of dried fruits in the aftertaste. Quite clean and rounded but nothing special.
