lightly colored. Finely tuned hoparoma - bitter at first but flowery later on. Round taste but a bit too light body.

Dark cloudy brown. To keep it simple - it tasted exactly like it should! :-) Except that it could be a hint more malty. Light bodied, bubbly.

A very warming beer. Flavour is a well balanced mix of coffee and chocolate. This beer really lives up to its name!

Bottled:
Pours a golden yellow colour with a mid sized head. Malty biscuit aroma with notes of honey. Dry, grainy flavour with faint notes of salty liquorice.

This beer is copper-colored with a medium light beige head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is lightly malty with some caramel as well. Medium-bodied, and not overly sweet like some Marzens tend to be, which I appreciated. Good malt flavor that was not too thick or syrupy. As a matter of fact it was very drinkable and complemented my food well. Maybe not the best example of the style, but I'd get it again.

Not overly complex, but it does pack a punch like any doppelbock should. Great amber color with apartment wall-colored head. Decent smooth finish despite the alcohol flavor. Malt and caramel undertones. Not too bad.

Sweeter than I expected, this is still an attractive and refreshing Hefe-Weissbier. Started drinking it with a warm meal, not a good idea - much better on its own or with a light snack. Enormous long-lasting head, pleasant but not very strong aroma. Flavour has all the good elements a beer of this style should have, a bit too sweet though. Rerate: Sweetness does not come through quite as much this time. Lovely aroma. A good hefe!
