0.3 l on tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy, moderately floral and a bit fruity aroma of grains, some straw, a bit of butter and a touch of citrus. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, moderately fruity-grassy and a bit yeasty taste of grains, straw, some citrus and a touch of butter, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite grainy, a bit yeasty and rather grassy-spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not really what I expected, especially not as hoppy, but overall well-drinkable.

Trockener, moderat hopfiger Beginn. Herb-würziger, eher einfacher Mittelteil. Etwas holzig, sehr trocken, keine Fruchtigkeit. Erhöhte Karbonisierung. Naja... 9/7/7/8//7

50cl swing top bottle courtesy of Erzengel! A almost clear dark golden beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild caramelish malt, toasted malt, herbs. Taste of toasted malt, spices, some herbs, medium bitterness, high carbonation, strange!

Glass of unknown orign, because filled in an sinister backroom: Deep golden, hardly black or deep amber coloured, medium-sized persistent and lacy off-white head; dry and a bit tart yeasty- fruity and coffeish nose, accompanied by a barnyardy touch; dry bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, at least relatively soft;: slightly lingering finish with a certain dry bitterness and old coffee grounds. An amateurish brew, not worth the effort…! Tastes like a coloured Pils with added old coffee grounds. Lacks the roast maltiness, the fruitiness and the delicate acidity of a real Porter, not to speak of the missing black colour...

0.3 l on tap at the brewpub. Hazy, brownish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, some caramel and a touch of straw. Moderately sweet, malty, slightly roasty and a bit grassy taste of coffee, caramel, nuts, some grains and a touch of straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and a bit grassy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, but don't expect a classic Porter.

Trockener Beginn nach Espresso. Erhöhte Karbonisierung, im Mittelteil zwar malziger, dennoch sind die Malznoten noch zu schwach für den vollmundigen Kaffee Geschmack. Geringe Süße, wenig Karamell, mittellanger, sehr trockener Nachhall. Noch ausbaufähig. 10/8/9/8//8
