En 1896, el maestro cervecero alemán José Fischer llegó a Punta Arenas con un ambicioso sueño: establecer la primera planta cervecera del país, la más austral del mundo.

Aunque permanece en el mismo lugar desde su fundación, el crecimiento de la ciudad la ha situado en el corazón de Punta Arenas, convirtiéndola en un emblema de la región y un atractivo turístico imperdible para los visitantes.

Cervecería Austral ha mantenido sus procesos productivos casi intactos, preservando la visión original de José Fischer. Sus cervezas, elaboradas con ingredientes de la Patagonia y el agua más pura, nos sumergen en sus sabores inigualables.

En la actualidad, ofrecemos 5 variedades: Lager, Patagona 508, Yagán, Calafate, premiada como la CHILE WINNER 2022 en la categoría Cervezas Saborizadas en los World Beer Awards y Torres del Paine, reconocida como la mejor en la categoría Helles Bock.

350ml from can at my Lodge in Torres del Paine. BB date was something like 02/2021. Yellow clear color, small white head. Smells earthy, grassy, bready, light marzipan, ripe fruits. Decent smell. Medium body, soft carbonation. Tastes grainy, marzipan, earthy, bit doughy, peppery. Finishes lightly bitter with notes of marzipan, doughy and earthy notes. Pretty decent one 6,4,6,3,12

Clear dark brown beer, small irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, caramel, soft roast. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, soft roast, caramel. Aftertaste: very malty, lots of grains, bit metallic, soft roast, bitter.

Clear orange to amber beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very oxidized, malty, little fruity. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very malty, lots of bread crust, some alcohol, bit roasted. Aftertaste: very malty, grains, metallic, cow fodder.
