Bottle at home Wednesday 10th April 2024, that I picked up at some random Getrankemarkt, having the Cottage Pie that I cooked the other night and listening to ByteFM. Pours clear gold, large white head, excellent clarity. A little malty with some cereal, hoppiness and bitterness at low levels as expected. All told a safe and easy drinking Helles that never really excited me.

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow, white head. Aroma is toasted malty, grassy. Bitter, grassy and dry breadish. Grassy, light toasted malty. Bitter and toasted finish.

0.5l bottle, 5%, from Netto Marzahner Chaussee. Clear golden body, ivory head, gone relatively soon. Grainy malty taste, bit minerally, floral, herbal touches. Huh. Lean, dry taste, bit grainy, mild herbal hoppy touches, trace acetaldehyde. Pretty crisp, but empty and not the greatest, cheap taste, but they nailed the body too. Beats the Export squarely. Just not drawn to the taste profile.

0.5l bottle from Netto at the Marzahner Chaussee, Berlin. Clear golden body, almost no head. Odd sweetish dry nutty malty aroma, pistachio. Lean, dry taste, prickly carbonation, odd nutty maltiness, vague pistachio, ends vaguely herbal, vaguely bitterish. I mean... could be worse.

500ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is bread malts some earthy grass hops. Taste is more of the light bread malts earthy grass hop notes.

Hazy deep golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting white head. Aroma of phenols, clove and wheat malt. Taste of mid sweet wheat malt, clove, rotten banana.

On tap (20 lit PETainer) at some food truck on parking lot before Udinese-Juve match 20.08.2023. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, light grainy nose. Sweetish, grainy, dusty, light earthy and bitterish finish. Even not so cold served.
