Bottle courtesy of our visitors and Isle of Harris brewery and restaurant owners Nick, Anna, Charlie and Sarah. Had this shared with Nick Friday 3rd January 2025 after we cooked a big Thai meal and listening to 6Music. Hazy glowing mid gold with a sticky white head. Nice spritziness on the nose, clean but also very Belgian nose with a touch of spice, some crossover in the mouth, easy drinking for the abv. Nice beer.

Bottle, 75cl. A black one, with a dark beige head leaving some lacing. Roasted, lightly burnt aroma with some coffee hints. Semi-fruity. Lightly spiced and piney. It's full-bodied and quite smooth on the palate, with a soft bitterness. Roasted and burnt flavor too, sort of ashy, with hints of coffee and pine cones. Some spiced hints. Lasting finish. A pleasant stout indeed, food-beer. 241231

33cl bottle from Meny, Helgeroa. Pours hazy golden with a modest, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, pineapples and hints of pale malt and yeast. Moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Quite enjoyable.

Can shared with JMD and JFE at JFE’s place 22.12.24. Cloudy dark straw colour. White head. Fine aroma and taste of sweet dark malt, marmalade, elderflower. Good.

Bottle @ home. Unclear golden body under a big, foamy white head. Aroma has pale malt, wheat, Belgium yeast and coriander. Taste is sweet malt, wheat, lots of Belgium yeast, esters and coriander. Medium body and same aftertaste. Drinkable, but rather sweet, a bit too sweet for my taste and not much going on here really. The Belgium inspiration is obvious, but I don’t find any relevance to an IPA in this one. Fair enough as a crossing between a blond and a wit.
