Norway 🇳🇴
Associated Venue: Kinn Bryggeri
Established in 2009
Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

750ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, and shared with colleagues at CNN's Julefrokost. Clear amber body under a declining off-white head, spotty lacing. Moderate aromas of herbal hops and bread-like malts. Fine balanced taste of cereal malts, grass, and noble hops. Subdued bittersweet ending. Medium bodied. Food friendly, and with fine drinkability. (Tromsø, 19.12.2024).

750ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes, and shared with colleagues at CNN's Julefrokost. Pretty nice in the glass with a deep dark brownish-black body under a remaining fawn-coloured head leaving rings of lace behind. Promising roasted malty aromas, scents of chocolate and dark fruits. Malt-forward taste with impacts of brittle caramel, chocolate and dark fruits. Gently roasted malty ending with bittersweet moments. Medium bodied. Likeable.

Faktisk ganske pikant ettersmak!

Bottle, 75cl. A mostly clear dark brown beer with a small, dense, beige head. Some curtains. The aroma has a light smoke touch in the back, but it’s mostly roasted, bready malts. Some dark dried fruit and a touch of generic fruityness. It’s medium bodied, would like a bit more, with a bit too much carbonation. Semi-dry. Roasted malts, some coffee and dark chocolate, fruityness and a gentle smoke touch. Lasting finish. A nice one, but the mouthfeel isn’t my favorite. 241130

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear yellow colored beer with a dense, small, white head. Lemony aroma with coriander, generic spicyness and some wheat and pale malts. Orange notes. It’s medium to thin bodied and a bit heavily carbonated, dry, with a mostly fruity flavor. Some pale malts and a light yeasty touch. Medium length finish. Not the most exciting Kinn I’ve had. 241129
