Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.

Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Bottle, 75cl. Thx Tarjei. A big, creamy, off-white head leaves lacings as the clear, golden beer is drank. The aroma is fruity and citrusy with some pale malts and a touch of yeast. Dry cookies, citrusy fruityness, pale malts and a little bitterness in the flavor. Medium body, smooth. Ctirusy peel in the end. It feels a bit strange in the roof of the mouth, can’t really point out what it is, but besides that it’s a nice and refreshing beer. 101229 --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilegrim Glutenfri on 27 Jun 2024 at 17:01 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: Bottle. A clear, golden colored beer with a small, dense white head. Some lacing. Gentle aroma, fruity, with some pleaseant bready malts. Pine cone and grass hints. It's quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation. Suitable bitterness too. Mostly generic fruity flavor, with some pale malts in the back. Grass notes. Medium length finish. Far from exciting this one, but sure a decent Bitter. 240627

750 ml bottle. Deep amber body with a huge, lasting tan head. Mild, but nice aroma of roasted malt, liquorices, chocolate and a bit spicy. Flavor is as aroma, moderate bitter, fruity and smooth. I nice Guinness killer!

750 ml bottle. Clear, dark amber body with a huge tan head. Aroma has distinct malt, light roast, caramel, some coffee and hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, fruit and balanced bitterness. A very nice brown ale with some references to a stout. Nice flavor and very quaffable.

750 ml bottle. Dim golden body with a big, creamy tan head. Quite mild aroma of malt and fruit, and actually a little hint of acidity. Flavor is fresh and fruity with mild malt, citric, yeast and moderate bitterness. Nice but kind of ordinary.

Flaske 0,75l på Vertshuset Skarven i Tromsø. Batch 56. Mørk aprikosfarget. Veldig høyt luftig skum med et svakt oransje skjær. Uklart. Sterk sitrusaroma. Nydelig. Innslag av blomster. Fyldig smak: Appelsin, blomster og div. frukt. Avsluttes tørt & bittert. Ettersmaken varer lenge. Små sedimentklumper kommer med over i glasset. En ypperlig IPA

0.75l bottle @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a dark brown body with a big off-white fluffy as hell everlasting head leaving big lacings. Nose is roasted malts, weak coffee, milk-chocolate and faint citrus. Tastes mildly roasted, some grassy hops, slightly dry, with some licorice and mild coffee. Mouthfeeling tells me that this brew could easily have had one or three more abv points, but still, for a 4.7% the body is quite decent. Carbonation is low. Ends slightly dry and bitter with a nice, mild and lasting roasted profile that makes you want more of this! This truly eased my mind.

Cask @ Naboen, Bergen. Pours a hazy dark orange body with a white floating everlasting head. Aromas are extreme fruity with a good citrus base and notes of fresh tropical fruits like passion fruit pineapple and apricot. Almost dipa flavors. Hints of licorice, pine, medium body and low carbonation. Really liked the strong bitterness and the lovely fruity aroma. Nice one from Kinn!

0.75l bottle #60 @ Baran Cafe, Bergen. Pours a hazy dark orange body with a side sticking thin off-white head leaving nice lacings and some dark yeast sediments. Aromas are some what vague but good hints of cookie-dough, malts and citrus. Tastes really fresh and refreshing with fruity notes and a nice hopy bitterness. Medium carbonated and medium to thin bodied. Really nice for a Norwegian class D-brew (but quite expensive though..)

Flaske 0,75l på Skarven i Tromsø. Brygg 58. Delt med Rune & Marcus. Mørk brun. Nesten svart. Høyt kremskum. Litt uklart. Litt sjokolade i aromaen. Smaken er godt integrert: Sjokolade med innslag av malt. Søt ettersmak. Enda et utmerket øl fra Kinn.
