Description
Founded in 2015, Lupum - or “wolf” in Latin - is the first and only farmhouse brewery in Portugal. Born as an experiment in the cellars of Antonio Lopes' family farm, the moniker was inspired by the founder's family name, meaning “son of wolf.” A laboratory technician turned mad scientist, António began with a singular goal - to brew what he loved, and to brew it well.

Nestled within the hills of the Douro River in the quiet parish of Avintes, just minutes inland from the infamous wine cellars of Porto, Lupum continues to stay true to its wild DNA: strong beers with a daring twist for the adventurous of heart, a work of love with total irreverence for the mandates of convention. Audentes fortuna iuvat - fortune favors the bold - and discovery belongs to those who seek it.

Bottle bought at LIBEERDADE, Lisbon, and top cracked off on the side of the security scanner in Lisbon Airport, and consumed straight from bottle, as the hand luggage was scanned, 31st October 23. It’s was a rushed enjoyment, the beer was sweet, coconut, bounty bar, dark chocolate, bitter and sweet maple, smooth and tasty from what I can remember, I had to down this, a Wheat Wine and a can of sour at the scanner or lose it, as I missed checkin, whilst drinking at Crafty Corner

Lääge, vanilje, tihke mõru šokolaad, röst, alkohol, vahtrasiirup, kuiv. Ok, kõike on siin veits liiga palju, aga vähemalt on mõrudust jms ka.
