Bottle from a state alcohol store in Patras, drunk in our hotel room while a small girl is falling asleep. high carb, golden clear on the first pour, mild nose with wild herbs smelling of a Mediterranean countryside hike. The flavor is super farmhouse, dry with good acidity but still a medium-full mouthfeel. Super champagne-like carbonation. The spices remind me of the olive oil bread with herbs that you can find in Greece, it's fantastic. Ages well as this is the 2019 edition, still in prime shape.

Bottle courtesy of Kostas Kykao, cheers mate, had this in the company of Nick and Anna Sunday 10th April 2022 listening to Shannon Lay - Geist. Pours hazy gold with a white head, a little malty, nice spiciness, dry (as indicated), a little honey. Really nice 👍

Had this again at the Munich Brewver Christmas gathering at Jonas's in Garching Friday 28th November 2025, in the company of Jonas and Ursula, this bottle is courtesy of Kosta, Kykao brewery. Pours mid amber almost clear, actually it is clear. This has clearly softened and is more mellow than I recall but actually better for a bit of age, nice tanginess, I like the Brett. Score 7.4
Bottle courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery cheers mate thanks. Had this Saturday 9th April 2022 listening to Beluga Lagoon and cooking Käsespätzle. Pours dirty amber with off white head, barrel aged very obvious, grape skins, Brett forward, tangy and a real workout for the tongue. It's a nice beer but, I think that maybe a little too much going on. Score 6.9

Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery, cheers mate! consumed at home Friday 1st April 2022 about to cook Spinach with Toor Dal and Lamb Keema Saag Balti and listening to Steve Lamaq at the 6Music Festival.. Pours warm gold, edging towards light amber. Nice fresh nose, a touch tropical, quite interesting, cannot quite put my finger on exactly what I am picking up. Like the first version this is punchy with a good bolshy bitterness, however it's well balanced with a nice maltiness, I get the dankness, like the soft mouthfeel, good, informed by Kostas at Kykao following a What's App chat that there is also a little Sabro in the dry hopping to make it a little more interesting.

Bottle at Ratebeer tasting at Daves, Unterhaching, München, Friday 4th February 2022. Pours black with a filmy head, you can smell the chillies. This is thick in the mouth, wow it's so warm the heat comes back down the nose and warms the throat. Lovely chocolate, oily moutheel, this is hot but great.

Bottle, thanks Fin! Darkest brown, cocoa-coffee, hint of spiciness in the nose. Flavor: very smooth, and that is a warming spicy beer! Slightly sweet, replace bitterness with chili and you've got it. Really a bomb of complex interestingness. One of the best chili beers I've ever had; the chili is present and powerful but mixes perfectly with the other flavors. Nothing is overwhelmed by the other various flavors.
