0.33l bottle. This is a cloudy honey-colored one with a medium sized off-white bubbly head. On the aroma the first thing that strikes my nose except the fruity hops is cucumber! Like old ripe refridged cucumber. Also it's a well hopped one this, with a lot of grapy citrus that actually can remind a bit of a strong DIPA. Nice enough I guess, but nothing exceptional if you ask me. It's average carbonated and it has a cloudy almost watery-creamy texture in the mouth. Taste is strong and heavy hoppy, piney resinous hops with notes of sweet fruity berries and some sweet malts before it ends with a medium dry tongue. A well bitter and hoppy IPA that I didn't find way to interesting, but it's a nice enough beer. 04.07.2012

0.33l bottle. This is a peachy-copper one, a bit cloudy with some big floaters and a small quickly sidesticking bubbly off-white head. It smells sweet and light fruity. Some peaches and caramel, but unfortunately also a clear tone of wet cardboard. It's average carbonated with a mild oily texture. Flavors are light metal-fruity, almost on the border of being pungent-bitter. Feels almost copper-ish in the mouth, light caramel infused and it ends of with tones of waaay over ripe summer strawberries. Not horrible, but I did not find it really great either. 29.06.2012

0.33l bottle. This one pours a unclear deep dark bronze body with a disappointing bubbly and sidesticking off-white head. It smells quite nice with sweet caramel, dried fruits and plums. Impressive. The flavor also is surprisingly tasty! A bit spicy and almost burned-caramel sweet with a good bitterness all the way. It's average carbonated with a light oily mouthfeel. Ends off bitter with clear references to both chocolate and chocolate paper, leaving my mouth sorta dry. I liked this one. Quite a different bitter. 30.06.2012

Keg at Euston Tap. London. A black coloured pour with a large beige head on top. Roasty, malty aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, slightly smokey with a hint of coffee in there, not bad..

Tap at the Euston Tap - 11/08/12. Off black with a minimal head soon thinning to nothing. Sweet malts and chocolate on the nose. Similar taste to aroma with a little nutiness. Medium bodied with a sweet finish.

Bottle from GBBF 2012, drunk at home. Amber colour with a slight haze and a lasting beige head. Some hoppiness on aroma, some orange citrus fruit from the NZ hops as well. Good in mouth. Smooth and full. Good balance of malts and hops. Not too bitter on finish. A fullish mouth of kumquat juice in fact. Really rather lovely. The juicy orange citrus fruits is particularly good.

Hazy golden orange colour with an off white head. A fine fresh hoppy grape aroma. Typical grape flavour with a fine tropical fruity background together with some caramel malt. Oily texture. Nice bitterness. One of the best from Brewfist so far. This will be a good friend anytime.

Bottle. An unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Piney, grassy, lightly fruity nose with maltyness in the back. Rather uncomplex, but pleasant anyway. Full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and semi-dry, with flavors of lightly caramel maltyness in the back, and with piney, lightly grassy hop flavors up front. Pleasant bitterness to support the malts all the way. I’m not impressed by this one either, it’s a nice beer, but I except more from an IPA. Anyway, I wouldn’t mind having a few of this, but I think it will be a bit boring on a long term. 120812

Bottle. A murky, orange-brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick light beige head. Very lightly roasted on the nose, with caramel, resiny hops and some nutty hints. Quite pleasant, even though it feels a bit too straight forward. Slightly too carbonated, medium to full body, semi-dry. The flavor has a little sourness, hope it’s the malt playing, not any funk. Besides that, there’s roasted notes, caramel, grassy, resiny hops and an appropriate bitterness. Some sweetness to support the mostly bitter finish. Overall, a beer that doesn’t impress, but it’s a tasteful and easy drinkable beer that I could easily down a few of. 120812

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ido’s place. Thanks troubles. Orange-golden. Aroma of hops with tropical fruits and notes of pine and flowers. Flavor has a bit of malt, slightly sweet, and nice fruity and piney hops with a bitter finish. Medium-bodied, carbonation is a bit too fluffy. Enjoyable and refreshing.
