Description
Hills is a kraft beer of a small independent brewery near the city of Plovdiv. The place where the classic traditions of brewing become the end product so that we can enjoy a truly pure, high-quality beer together.
Hills is made of pure mountain water from the Rhodopes and specially selected high quality raw materials from Germany. The recipes are by master brewer Wolfgang Trautner - with over 29 years of experience in the industry. The whole process is controlled by three Bulgarian technologists in the brewery, who take care from "A to Hills" for compliance with the "German Beer Purity Act of 1516."

On tap at Kanaal, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted bread, with light metallic notes, and toasted nuts. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted bready notes, toasted nuts, and metallic notes. Dry and nutty, and nicely balanced. Solid.

Bottle shared in Gabrovo - many thanks to Nora. Pours hazy gold with a big, frothy white head. The nose has crispy wheat, dried banana, hay. Light sweet flavour with low bitterness, some orange peel, more wheat flakes. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, some simple wheat bread, a little lemony perk, straw. Decent hefe overall.
