Description

Beer52 bottle. Clear golden beer with a good white head. Smell is predominantly grassy, hoppy citrus. Taste isn't quite as big and sharp as you'd expect from the smell, though perhaps you would from the flavour. Not sure why it's been added as a wheat ale because the bottle has it as an IPA and I feel that's much closer to the mark. Flavour is pretty much as you'd expect from the smell of it. Sharp and grassy with some grapefruit. There's a bit of a sweet, lemony hit in the aftertaste before it sort of tapers off. It's a good IPA but not special. Very drinkable though.

Bottle from het Biermoment. Clear light amber color, medium rocky head. Aroma of grainy wheat, spicy yeast with clove and bit pepper. Spicy and dry in taste, quite malty for a tripel, which is the weizen part of course. I guess it is a full malt tripel with quite a portion of wheat. Full bodied, maybe even a bit too much, and I would prefer a bit more orange or citrussy fruitiness in it. Not bad though.

Bottle from Beer52. Clear ruby, off-white head.Light, bitter malt aroma. Taste is toasty malt, fruit, caramel. A bit watery in the aftertaste and if this is 6.5% then it's really quite dangerous because it feels quite light and fresh, with a crisp, fruity aftertaste,

hazy golden beer, thin white head. Aroma is citrus, banana and grass. taste has a bit of a combo of those three too though it dies out really quickly. It doesn't go into a watery backtaste, it's a mellow, hoppy finish but an initially tasty beer becomes more about the finish as you get through it. Which makes it one to savour rather than to quench a thirst. it's decent though.
