Some light haze on a deep mahogany brown pour topped with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl.
Nose is toffee, fruit cake mix, spice, dates, caramel, light booze tunes.
Taste comprises candied fruit rinds, spice, toffee, dark malts, dates, mellow barrel tunes.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost offered.
Decent ... quite light and airy in its outlook.

Bottle. Hazy deep amber beer, small and short lived bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, a little dry in the mid. Good fine minerally carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth and rich caramel malts, toffee underlay. Mild oak induced vanilla. Marsala brings over ripe fruits in a pleasant winey backdrop. Smooth oaky vanilla, a little alcohol spice. Airy smooth finish. Nicely balanced barleywine, plenty of rich malts with a good BA overlay.

A golden beer, a head is quite small and blond. Aroma has fruitness, but it's mild, some caramel. Taste has fruitness and caramel. Medium bodied. Too simple.
