Super pale coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of light malt, some wheat and a tiny amount of very subdued hops - nothing strong at all. Light to Medium-bodied; Noticeable yeast and wheat flavours at first with a bit of a dry and muddled grass and herbal element and some of the very light hops hanging around. Aftertaste shows some tiny amount of fruit sweetness from citrus and full oranges with a hint of curacao at the end along with the very light malts. Overall, a decent beer at best - very mild and subdued throughout with not much hop flavours at all, despite this being a few days old. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 03-December-2016 for US$2,99 sampled in my hotel room a few minutes later on 03-December-2016.

Clear golden coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall white head. Aroma of light hops, some subdued malt and a little metal coupled with lemon. Light-bodied; Strong metallic flavour at first with some nice malts, light lemon and citrus and finishing a touch grassy. Aftertaste shows a lot of grain, some citrus, a little earth and a good grassiness. Overall, a nice pils with some good characteristics, moderate complexity, but super easy to drink! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased yesterday from Whole Foods in New York (Bowery), New York on 28-May-2016 for US$2,99 sampled at the roof of my hotel in Lower Manhattan, New York on 29-May-2016.

From bottle courtesy of Maria and Vasilis. Thanks guys! Light hazy yellow golden color with off white head. Malty aroma, light yeasty notes, light hoppy citrusy fruity in the beginning, bread, grainy. Sweet and light bitter taste, bready, grainy again. Light oily body with soft carbonation

Draft at Three Monkeys. Clear gold color with an off white head and sticky lacing. Light aroma and flavor of citrus and dough, some yeast. Not getting much wheat, but I do get the spice / coriander. Light bodied with a slightly fizzy feel. A little bit dull, but not bad.

Deep dark brown body with a nice two centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, oatmeal, nuts and toffee, all with a little grain and sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with oatmeal and grain, followed by a smooth caramel sweetness, balanced by a touch of citrus and PNW hops. Aftertaste shows mostly roasted malt qualities, but a little sweetness from caramel and a nice subdued but noticeable hoppy bite make this well-rounded. Overall, a nice Black Pale Ale with less character than a black IPA, but showing nice complexity throughout. Nice to sample and a good option if you like either porters or APAs as this is a good mix of both. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bowery), New York on 05-December-2015 for US$2,99 sampled on the train from New York to Washington on 06-December-2015.

Sample at District Tap House. Hazy yellow-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of citrus, yeast and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, yeast and citrus as well as a touch of malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draught. Opaque dark brown with small foamy tan head, coffee beans aroma, high carbonation, mocha taste, full body, medium bitter roasted malt finish. Quite nice, though more like a black lager.
