Pours black with a light tan head.Nose shows lavender, spicy phenols, soft roasted. Very heavy on the lavender, almost soap-like.Flavours include more heavy lavender with a bit of roast behind, finishing quite dry. The lavender seems a bit full-on.

From a 330ml bottle on 26/9/2018. Pours near black with a huge tan head. The nose features masses of chocolate and cocoa. This tastes absolutely sublime - dominated by rich and silky milk chocolate and dusty cocoa, tempered by just the right amount of roasty bitterness. The palate is super creamy with lactose prominent. The last couple of bottles I've had have been a little too fizzy and gushy, so I've taken a point off the palate score, but it still drinks beautifully and way too easily. Very dessert like, and not really a typical RIS, but who cares? This is the perfect beer for a rich mud cake. Magnificent.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of mild roast, kumquats, nectarines, pine. Medium bodied. Some chocolate and bready sweetness before fruit and a fair bit of resinous bitterness at the end. A little licorice. Nice but somewhat dissonant.

Bottle. Amber with an off white head. Aroma of bread crust, pine, spices, some kumquats. Malty but much drier than expected with bread crust and biscuit, citrus and a decent resinous kick at the bitter finish. A rare hoppy amber/ red IPA that really works.

Bottle. Deep clear brown with a dense cm of pale beige head that lasts very well. Rich chestnut aroma with some light roast and chocolate. Flavours follow the aroma - not all that sweet but earthy and malty with bitterness that's slightly spicy and only grips right at the end. Good.

Bottle. Amber with a small off white head. Aroma of green tropical fruit, lime, earth, grapes, grass. Taste has some caramelly bready sweetness but it's rapidly overtaken by lots of Enigma - which as they say is an interesting hop. There's limey, minerally Riesling, melon, green mango, then yuzu and fairly strong bitterness.
