Golden, a bit flat. Has an aroma almost like corn tortilla, A bit of sweetness, some mellow herbal notes, almost like wintergreen but not quite. A touch of cardboard, but otherwise pretty good.

Courtesy of Marko, after perilous smuggling!
Blond to golden color. Straight mead aroma and flavor, rapeseed honey maybe, flowery, with hints of vanilla. Reminds me of many German meads. Delicate, nice.

Bottle - Perfumy dark honey notes. Clearish gold. Light and a touch a medicinal. Touch of rubbing alcohol and mint.

Bottle sample (thanks to Marko, then to luttonm, then to fiulijn), pours a clear golden with a few bubbles. Aroma brings out subdued earthy hops and wildflower honey. Flavour brings out lots of honey nectar, subdued floral hops, and some bees wax. Not a whole lot of depth, nor overly pleasant. Not terrible, but really weak.

16/04 A sample from Marko’s bottle, thanks! It poured deep golden to amber body with moderate to slower thick legs. Honey and wood aroma, in plain way. Sweet and sour flavor, simple honey dominated, while it also showed some peppery or herbal spicy notes. Unfortunately, rather thin in body, especially for a mead, with sweetish finish. Enjoyable, pleasant, but could also be much better and more flavorful.

Huge thanks to Mateja for bringing this from Marija Bistrica! Lighter golden body. The aroma is relatively complex - apart from the typical, slightly waxy, sweet honey presence, there are some cough syrup notes, maybe vague thyme, all blended quite well together. The taste is more dry and watery than the nose indicated, again the spicy, notes show up in the front, diluted, bitterish, and not too welcome, maybe from the hops, with the fine honey notes stay in the background. Light "barnyard". Hmm, guessing they were skimpy with the honey here. Not much alcohol, just some warming, which I consider to be a good thing. Fresh, drinkable stuff, but not the best mead in Croatia.
