Tap at Dno Pytle. Riiiight... This is a golden lager. I would guess the beer changed since 2017 but hey, I am just writing what I see... Golden body, a bit hazy, white head. Soft herbal aroma, mildly phenolic perhaps, a bit grainy. Watery, empty taste, fresh though. Very light herbal touches. As a summer chugger, this works.

Bottle at Hangár Pub. Cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- horseradish root and leaves, malt on background, touch of noble hops. FLAVOR- lightly sweet, lightly bitter, horseradish again, noble hops, malty base. Medium bodied. Interesting and tasty.

Tap at Dno pytle. Moderate horserasdish in aroma and taste. Actually blends pretty well into the beer, which is otherwise a classic well made svetly. Medium body, medium carbonation, med-med-high bitterness, med-light grassy earthy hops character. Drinks easy, pretty good.

Tap at Dno Pytle. Murky golden body, white head. Soft aroma dominated by horseradish. Soft, clean taste, lightly sweetish but generally lean and dry, again, entirely dominated by horseradish. Technically, a great horseradish beer. Also, being a great horseradish beer is its main problem. Unless you really, really love horseradish, including horseradish burps the day after. Allegedly pairs well with sausages and mustard, so there's that.

Tap at Dno Pytle. Wow... what a find. Almost pitch black ruby body, ochre lasting head, thick. Aroma... heavy, classic barleywine, caramel and raisins, but (and this sounds stupid), not fully dried out raisins, not all there. Some alcohol too, really, orange liqueur going towards raisins. Hm. The taste is quite dry, soft raisins first, sweeet and then the tannin notes show up and while initially providing some woodines, kill most of what else might have been there in the finish, pushing it towards unbalance and astringency. Really respect ZLoun for taking a shot at this style, sadly, the wood treatment didn't work entirely in their favor, taking it out. Huge, huge props for the balls and ovaries to release this on the Czech market though!

Bottle. Clear golden-orange body, white head. Stone fruit and raisins in the aroma, a bit on the older side. Okay light taste, citric hoppiness, sweetish, showing some mild age, but still the best of the bunch that day. I'll try to rerate all these ZLoun beers on tap... really hope they are usually better. Update: Not terrific, but a nice light citric hoppy ale fresh on tap. +0.2

Bottled. Cola brown body, off white head. Caramel-driven aroma with, you guessed it, some buttery touches. More diacetyl in the taste, slick, but balanced a bit by the caramel. Hm. Almost works but... nah.

Tap at Hangar. Golden body with a lasting white head. Clean aroma, grainy maltiness, herbal hoppiness, smooth. Nice bready taste, love the maltiness here, well rounded by a well integrated herbal note. When clean, this is an excellent lager!

Bottle. Hazy golden-amber body, white head. Utterly diacetyl-riddled aroma. Butter ruins the taste as well, with light herbal touches helping it not be an utter failure. They seem to have huge problems with lager bottles. Hope it's only the bottles. 3/3/4/2/8
