Pours a clear light amber colour with a small frothy off white head. Aroma is a sweetish, bready, and dried fruit. A moderately sweet taste, caramel and some fruity flavours. A spicy hop bitterness with more sweetness in the finish.

Bottle, a gift from the in-laws. Feint earthy aroma, with malty roast hints. Light chestnut. Thin creamy white head. Initially a very light sweetness, with underlying bitterness. The latter gains in strength. Malty, even a bit chocolate. Light bodied. Watery, Soda-esque carbonation. Long but low key finish. Hmmm... it’s actually a decent enough pint. Went well with my cheese sarnie. Overall, though, it’s all rather low key.

Handpull cask at the Corner House, Cambridge. Amber and a bit cloudy, with some off-White head. Not a lot to sniff here, but there’s some bready malt and a touch of stone fruit. Taste: malt bomb. Sweet with tangerine notes, with insecticide sour in the finish. A nice bit of natural carbonation in the finish. Mixed bag. Not as bad as I though it’d be, it’s quite pleasant, but there are issues.

Tried at the Three Horseshoes Waddington. Deep golden to amber colour with a tan head. Grassy to light malty caramel aroma and taste. Medium body.

Cask @ Yates’s, Halifax. Dark clear golden with a thick creamy head. Hopped ale with a very light malty bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity at the Three Tuns, Bristol 23/5/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Some stone fruits, leafy hops, ripe digestive malts, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.
