About
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

(Keg at Mikkeller Helsinki, 20200801) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, liquorice and spiciness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, chocolate, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, spicy and bitter. An unbalanced brew with some pleasant notes.

Tap @ Mikkeller Helsinki. Poured dark brown, almost black in color. Getting heavy nuttiness, some malty breadiness and roastedness. Nuts, malts and bread in flavor as well. Light bodied. Roasty finish.

Tap at Mikkeller Helsinki, Helsinki. Color is very dark brown with small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Dark chocolate, chocolate, some coffee and roasted malts.

Can from Beers of Europe. Appearance - Nose - corn, corn sugar and caramel. A hint of citrus and green peppercorn but you have to go searching for it. Taste - corn and caramel mainly. Palate - light bodied. A bit sweeter than the style.shiuod be. Overall - ok.

Can from Mitra Bunnik, BBE Nov 2024. Clear golden to orange color, short frothy off-white head. Aroma of some mashed apples, dandelion (ok, I read that on the label), some caramel. Quite sweet in taste, slight bitterness, appelmoes again. Anarchy brewing continues to not impress

Can from Beers of Europe. Appearance - cloudy yellow to orange. Big fluffy, white head. Nose - orange and guava. Taste - overripe melon, guava. Orange again. Palate - creamy and light to medium bodied. Balanced bitterness on the finish. Overall - decent.

Can shared with my brother. Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Smell and taste are initially very citrussy and tropical fruity. Sweetish citrussy after that. Decent.
