Clear apple juice with small bubbly ring. Sweet applejuice, wood, a little rust and earthy peels, some syruppiness and caramel. Medium sweet and quite juicy. Low carbonation. Some nice tannins.

Tap at Quakerhouse, Darlington. Cloudy reddish orangey-pink colour, no head and aroma of sweet apple & rhubarb. Taste is sweet, cooked apple, rhubarb, vanilla, caramel, with citric acidity. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet finish. OK, very sweet.

50cl bottle from Stonemanor, The British Store near Brussels. F: no. C: pale gold, clear. A: apples and a lot of oak woody notes, bit vanilla. T: medium body, apples, apples peels, bit oak, white wine touch, bit funky, soft carboation, good, enjoyed.

50cl bottle from Stonemanor, The British Store near Brussels. F: no. C: pale gold, clear. A: rich apples, apples peels. T: apples, light sour apples peels, bit cellar, dry on the palate, bit puckering, soft to medium carbonation, nice, refreshing, enjoyed.

Foam disappears fast and there's minimal visible carbonation. Slight barn funk on the nose under some apple, really vague white wine hints. Taste is a very earthy apple, leathery, chutney notes in the aftertaste. Reasonably crisp and dry, alcohol well hidden, memorable.

Pale blond colour with no head. It's a decent cider with a very light element of funky, barnyard apples. Flavour is quite sweet though.

Clear pale pink in colour, with a tiny head of light pink bubbles, and a sweet, cordial-like aroma. Sweet and approaching sickly in taste, it's predominantly berry flavours (think Vimto) with no real apple character at all. Crisp, refreshing and satisfying without really inspiring a desire for more
