Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours brown with orange glints. Beige head. Med body. Flavor is dark malt/wheat with a little fruity ester. No hint of banana. Not spicy. So nothing stands out strongly, but the flavor is great. Especially for 4.3 ABV.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours darkly ruddy with orange glints. Malty aroma. Full bodied or nearly. Flavor is malty, caramel with a hint of chocolate. Seems to be a little earthy. No heat to me. Finishes not very sweet. Tasty. Different. Really good.

Tap at West Coast Brew Fest 2013. Pours dark amber brown with a slight beige head. Aroma is toffee/nutty/chocolate. Med body. Flavor is nutty, toffee, light touch of chocolate. Finishes dryish, but definitely not bitter.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Aroma seems resin/fruit. Med body. Flavor is light roasty malt, mixed citrus/fruit/earthy hop. There’s a lot of hop in here, and I’m having difficulty sorting it. Finishes quite bitter and a little earthy. Good drink.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA\. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is lightly fruity/wheaty. Flavor is wheaty, perhaps with a touch of citrus. Not a wit for sure. Maybe a light wheat (that’s what my notes say, really). Finishes mundane.

Draft @ 13th Bistro Double IPA Festival, Hayward, CA. Pours a golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty slightly earthy hoppy piney aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish with weak pine hints.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden amber with a creamy white head. Light sweet aroma. Light fruit flavor. Very light and flavorful and this is nearly 10%. Heat is not even noticeable. With time the fruit becomes recognizable as strawberry.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark copper with a creamy white head that laces. Aroma is resin and fruit/citrus with a touch of treacle or chocolate. Flavor is resin, fruit and caramel/toffee. Almost seems woody. Gets a little earthy and citrusy in the finish. Quite tasty.
