Bottle. Pours crystal clear golden straw, small white head dissipates slowly leaving decent lacing. on the glass, Aroma is grain, corn, grass, lemon. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, grassy and clean. Medium body, medium carbonation, a bit of a lingering bitter finish. Decent for style.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours quite ruddy with a whitish head. Med body. Low carbonation. It’s sort of malt with cherry flavor. I’m not thinking sour here. It’s nice, but sour would be nice too. Good beer tho.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with orange glints. Tan head. Treacle aroma. Flavor is treacle with light non-citrus fruit - finishes treacle, but not sticky. Fruit is a nice touch. Heat not an issue.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours lite gold with a white head. Light fruit aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is some fruity hop with a little graininess. Hop is not harsh, but rather flavorful, which helps with the graininess. Very lite bitter finish.

Flavor is chalk?, stone fruit esters, a bit earthy/spicy, a hint yeasty. Rather dry. Decently bitter. Started a bit unusual, but has slipped right into tripel. Chalk? No idea why I thought that.

Tap at University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours a very ruddy, very dark (near brown) amber with a beige head. Aroma is pine/citrus over dark malt. Med + body. Flavor is a chocolate hit followed by citrus and arguably pine. Yet it all works well together. Gets a little earthy with time. Nice.

Tap at University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours dark gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of mixed pine and fruit. Med body or better. It’s rather dankly hoppy. Starts pine, maybe citrus, move on to fruit - perhaps tropical. Just enough caramel to hold the hop. Barely. It’s hoppy. And very nicely bitter - tho not burning harsh. Excellent.

Tap at University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours light brassy gold with a white head. Light grassy aroma. Med body, maybe. Flavor is grassy, spicy, grainy. Hoppy enough to hold down the pale malt aspect. This could stand up with the best Czech versions, IMHO.

Tap at Capitol Beer. Pours dark gold with a creamy white head that laces. Light fruity hop aroma. Med minus body. Flavor is mildly bready and more fruit than grass. Clean. Tasty. But not exactly a pils - hop wise. Finishes barely bitter.

Bottle to pint glass. Citrus and slight pint. Slight tropical aspects. Deep honey gold, clear with white head that leaves a collar. Moderate high citrus with moderate resin and moderate high bitterness (not too high for style). Finishes semi-dry.
