Description
ABYSS is a forward thinking Micro brewery born under Lewes, East Sussex. From dark to light we brew modern beers with BIG personalities.
We believe in the power of beer to bring people together, we’ve always placed collaboration at the heart of what we do, whether brewing beer or working with the creative community and local charities. To date we’ve created new beers with our friends at SALT Brewing, SMOD/Saint Mars of the Desert, ATOM beers, Arundel Brewery, and PLAY Brew Co with many more to come.

Hazy white head
A - yeast slight tropical but not much
F - fairly bland, slight stone fruit and tropical but again not much
Judging off other reviews I'd say that the Brighton dome is maybe not the best place to try this, it's quite bland.

Deep dark brown with a frothy light tan head and a soft roasted malt aroma. Light but creamy, chocolate malt with some dark fruits, some floral notes and a dry finish.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. Hazy pale orange. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has sugary citrus with chewy malts and a caramel edge. Flavourwise it has this sweet chewy citrus caramel streak with a sour edge. Underlying malts. Herbal finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Hmmm... there's something about it that I don't like - a kink in the flavour.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th January 2026. Hazy gold with shallow off-white foam affording partial lacing. Citrus aroma. Sweet and tangy blend of citrus and tropical fruits in-mouth. A good malt. Finish is of nutty malts and sweet and spicy fruits. Full body and a zingy mouthfeel.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is peachy citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, dry, yeasty, light citrus, dry floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Did I say dry?

Draft at the brewery. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is grainy light citrus hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a smooth, fresh, stone fruits, light mango, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation. Rather nice for an AF beer.
