Description
Donnie and Ian started the Abernyte Brewery back in 2016 when hobby brewing got slightly out of hand. Strongly influenced by Bavarian brewery standards and styles, we use a German-made 500l Braumeister system to run out very small batches of lager and ale. Distribution is limited to the Carse of Gowrie, a rich agricultural area between Perth and Dundee on the North of the Tay estuary.

Bottle from Cairn o Mohr. It pours hazy orange - amber with a medium foamy white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, juicy, orange, peach, tangerine, marmalade, toffee and bubblegum. The taste is dry, bitter, resinous, oily, peach, stewed orange, marmalade, varnish, toffee, bubblegum, leather, light alcohol and wood with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Has an old-skool UK IPA vibe about it, but that's not a bad thing in this case. Decent stuff.

Level 42 bottleshare. . Thanks to Scopey. Almost clear gold beer, small cream colour head. Palate is airy, dry and has decent carbonation. Thin malts. Tangy and thin orange, a little lemon. Light dry minerally finish. Modest hop spice in the aftertaste. Ho hum.
