3 ounce at the Overland location - oh, I dig this one - the warming whiskey of the barrel-aged base is complimented really well with the spices, which are present and complex, but not over powering - there’s something in the combination of barrel aging and spices that impart a deep black cherry character that I dig - a warming spicy sipper that isn’t overly hot or too heavy on the adjuncts.

8 ounce at the Overland location - inky black pour - nose is rich with whiskey and oak (but not boozy or hot) - served basically still, so slick in the mouth - mild oxidation/sherry in the flavor, chocolate, rich whiskey notes - warming, but overall the alcohol is expertly masked here - the stillness makes it feel a little thin in the mouth at times, but generally it’s really good.

Tulip at the Overland location - clear gold with moderate, sticky lace - medium dry, lightly bitter, moderately spicy, light flinty mineral character - delicate in ways that many American-made renditions are not - just a light bit of stickiness and banana creep in on the tail end, lessening the enjoyment for me, but still quite the solid attempt.

From Beer Drop. No dating on the can.
It pours a hazy orange with a small short lasting head of foam. Hardly any lacing.
The smell is kind of fruity, vegetal, must be the carrots, perfume like aromas, must be the Elderflower. Unusual nose.
The elder flowers I can taste immediately. Now there's the carrot juice that adds the vegetal flavour, and I get a hint of spice. Umm..why this combination in a Saison??
Lightish body and carbonation.
I don't get the gist of this beer.

Solid lager but didn't hit the mark for a Mexican lager for me, still good but short of crushable, maybe wrong vibe will try again!
Light carrots, extra gino.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near clear deep red with a slight pink hue and an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy and sweet wheat with a light blackberry note underlying. Flavor wheat that is sweet but slightly earthy supported by some light blackberry.
