Always grab new Oktoberfests. Ruby pour. Nose is light caramel and malt. Tastes of caramel, flat rootbeer, bread crust, some gentle malt and brown sugar. Medium bodied. Not overly sweet or zippy.

Pours cloudy amber with thin white lacing. Aroma of light papaya. Taste has mild peppery notes, more guava, papaya, pineapple. Palate has some mild citra bite, smooth melon elements. Real good.

Draft at South Station. Pretty orange amber with foamy head. Nose is cinnamon and yams. Tastes of pumpkin, quite squashy, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. All the fun stuff if it weren’t 80degrees outside.

Canned 5/12/22, drunk 5/23/22. Lightly to moderately hazy, copper-mango. Small, fizzling, off-white head. Nose is strong mango juice, smells pretty authentic, with good acidity and juice and very minimal vanilla. Crunchy/crusty, crackery malts and no weird yeast or flaw/alcohol. In the mouth it's a big burst of mango juice with strong acidity. Soft vanilla with juicy mango and dull, blanding lactose. This would be SO good without the lactose. Feels bad that most brewers just auto-add lactose because that's the style. This has all the juicy flavors, acidity and soft, malty textures with vanilla for the milkshake appeal. The lactose adds nothing and instead, dulls the flavor.

Pours deep, clear gold into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Cracker and hay aromas. Crisp with dry rice and sweet caramel upfront turning to sourdough, bitter peel and pith in the dry, lasting finish.

7 oz. pour at the brewery. It's an opaque dark yellow-light brown with finger-width white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is strong sweet candied fruit. Taste reflects aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, no sign of alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, as a sort of flagship, I was expecting a bit more from this. Sweet.

Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not complex and nondescript but strong and sweet. Decent.

7 oz. draft at the brewery. It's an opaque black with thin cap of light brown head with fair retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted peanut and malts. Taste mirrors aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste with lingering mild bitterness. Overall, good strength of aroma and flavor but not super complex. Avoids the bitter peanut or rancid oil aspect many fall prey to.
