Bottle at home ... Deep black ... think loose foam head ... little chocolate some nice roast malts but there something undefinibale that hits you first its not quite over carbonated but the palate just dont seem right on initial hit ... some sweetness little yeastyness and quite a milky chocolate. Neverthe less quite decent.

Deep Solid black ... bursting full of amerian hop and light roast malt ... again the overriding flavour is sweet resiny american hops ... smooth and rich .... sweet roast malts but its the piney hops that really burst through making this a little drying ... In the end i think the Hops are a bit overpowering. cask at IMBC ... deep black ... thin tan head ... soft mellow rich roast malt ... soft chocolate roast ... soft and rich roast malt ... lightest meatyness ... 4.0 Keg at the vintage... Deep black... Thin tan lacing... Soft meaty chocolate roast... Dark malts... Rich deep tones... Over fizzy... Big solid roast nice 4.2

Cask at GBBF 2007. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with light grassy hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of hops.

Cask (handpump) @ Marble Arch, Manchester M4, UK. Clear medium to dark orange color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, flowers, perfume, a bit syntetic. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (180108)

Aroma is moderate malty, burnt, chocolate, coffee, light to moderae hoppy, flowers, perfume, sulfo. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08. Lovely hop, deep roasted malts on aroma. Excellent US hops (I’m guessing). Just a stunning, roasty, beautifully balanced beer. Not a harsh roast. This is fantastically good. Just a 10 for aroma. Superb. God I love this. One of the best beers I’ve had.

Cask at Marble Arch Inn, Golden orange ... lovely spicy fruity hop ... very hopp good fruit base but hops are bery well balanced. Originally rated as Marble Road Rider as beermad had it as an alias, but since itsbeen added as JP Best. moved it.

[i] Cask at The Marble Arch Inn Manchester 19-01-08 [/i] Waheyy this is all about the ginger and it takes no prisoners. The root ginger is quite superb and that tell tale burn that you get from it really makes this one of the best Ginger’s that I’ve tasted, almost like licking some raw root ginger. Ok so this is a bit of a one trick pony but a pony that can perform like this is one that’ll I’d pay money for. Loved it
