About
The company was founded by Alastair Hook in 1999. He started the brewery in a small lock-up on an industrial estate, before moving to the Greenwich Brewery, and then to a site on nearby Blackwall Lane in 2010. It was purchased by SABMiller in May 2015. As part of the agreements made with regulators before Anheuser-Busch InBev was allowed to acquire SABMiller in 2016, Meantime was sold to Asahi Breweries of Japan in October 2016. Brewing moved to Fuller's in May 2024.

Draft at Steamworks, Glynde. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, light citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a crisp, yeasty, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Whatever happened the excellent brewery that Meantine were in the past??

330 ml bottle. Pours a bright copper color with little head. Aromas of bittering hops and grain. Flavors of same with some burnt fruit. Unmemorable.

It is a regular pale ale, no bad, classical, some hop, slight bitterness, malt, better to start the night with this beer, 21.07.17, at Prélaz, buying it at one monoprix Paris.
