Description
Baeren Brewery is located in Morioka, Iwate prefecture which belongs in far north up from Tokyo Japan. We have some traditional and old vintage brewing equipment from southern district of Germany and carried here into Morioka. The traditional way of beer brewing still lives on here and Mr. Miyaki who got certificated as a Brewmeister in Berlin, Germany makes great and beautiful beers. The location of our brewery is perfect also for hiking because it is located near the center of the city and stands just by Route 4 but at the same time surrounded by a forest, which means you can easily and naturally feel the nature around.

The nose is sweet pear, red apple, boiled sweets, wheat, farmyard and white sugar. Draught at Q-Brick. Nice cloudy golden color with a low head. Pretty. Citrus hop aroma. Ruch, full malt, flavor, with honey and crackers, nice citrus hops. Medium bitterness. Very malty and full bodied for a Kolsch, yet refreshing and tasty, and still pretty authentic kolsch character. Good summer beer.

Draught at Wachi. Spicy, yeasty, fruit aroma. Big malt flavor; very spicy. Lots of Belgian yeast characteristics, grapes and lots of fruit. Hoppy and bitter finish with strong carbonation. Nice—an ok Belgian, not great, but an interesting big blonde.
