Bottled. Richly roasty aroma—well smoky, with a touch of honey, crisp pilsner malt, biscuit, some fruit. Deep golden color, tall, fine, white head. Rich malt flavor, nice smoke, though much less than the nose leads one to expect—rather light, with a grassy hop finish that comes through the smoke easily. Crisp, rich, light and fresh. Nice body. A tasty all-around beer.

Medium brown color. Full bodied,sweet, but decent balance . Lots of grasssy hops. Well made German style lager and one of the better offering from the brewery.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Medium to dark brown with orange and a huge, fine head. Rich Munich malt aroma, with caramel, bread and cereals and slight fruit. Rich, clean taste, with caramel, grains, chocolate. Sweet but restrained, with a tangy, fruity adge and a very long-lasting bitter finish. Smooth and mellow with soft, tasty malts. A good dunkel with fine bitterness.

Draught at Qbrick. Made with the fruit from a Japanese Lantern plant that is native to South America, also called Cape Gooseberry. Light, bright gold with a medium head. Light fruitiness in the nose, tangy, with pils malt. Crisp, tangy fruit flavor with citrus and honey. Not too sweet. A light, decently refreshing fruit beer with good balance and malt character. Decent stuff, though I can’t drink a lot. I’ve only eaten the fruit once, so it’s hard to say how that character is used. The name in Japanese is far too cutesy as well.

Very smooth body. Excellent milk chocolate flavor, alcohol well hidden. Fairly malty. Full bodied. Nice Winter Warmer. Just wish I had bought a couple to age.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Light yellow color with lace. Sweet aroma, soft, biscuity piilsner malts, caramel, apple. Not unpleasant. Very sweet flavor, with lots of apple and a bit of peppery hops. Soft, light malts come with a nicely bitter finish. Refreshing and flavorful but way too sweet.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Lovely tan, bubbly head on a black, shiny beer. Roasty, fruit and chocolate aroma. Creamy and sweet. Sweet flavor with dark fruits (cherry, raisin), vanilla, chocolate, wood,, and alcohol. Woody, roasted finish. Noo edges. Tasty, and not very burnt or bitter, but hops come in the finish too. More like a porter or other dark ale than a stout, but the flavor is nice.

Bottle. Only available mail order from the brewery. Medium amber-red color with lace from the beginning. Rich, sweet, fruity malt aroma, with cherry, and a bit of American citrus hops and Belgian yeast. Nice, but not tripel-like, really. Sweet, fruity, flavor with caramel malt and cherries. Nice hops; earthy, with Belgian yeast spiciness. Not a usual tripel at all, but a tasty take on one. Rather bitter hop finish, decent body. Likeable.

Bottle, available in limited supply only via mail order. Clear, glowing amber color with a tall foamy head. Malty aroma, with caramel. Not as rich as I would have liked, but nice, sweet, and bready. Nice, subtle, Vienna malt flavor with cookie and bread, not too sweet, with caramel. Not very special, but nicely done with decent hop bitterness at the finish. Just slightly fruity, with a bit of roast. Body a bit light. Gra balance, subtle goodness. Very drinkable.
