Inuyama Weizen on tap at Kyoto Fest. A matte brass color with a good head of foam.the aroma is eggy wheat and cloves. The taste is a semi-sweet Weizen with big spice character but thin bodied. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the Gifu Beer Matsuri 2015. Pretty, hazy golden color. Lemony, grassy nose. Nicely hoppy flavor, good solid malt, peppery finish. Biscuits and crackers. Very nice.

Pours hazy orange with a rich foamy top. Top stays. Aroma has cloves, banana, some yeast. Slightly bitter. Taste is like a weizen should be - refreshing and spritzy. Fruitiness is nice but it also has some weird artificial paint taste that lingers a bit longer. Nice summer beer.

Pours pale yellow, small head. Aroma has a hint of barley and white bread. Taste is quite light with a refreshing and slightly bitter finish. Simple pilsener, drinkable but not very exciting at all.

Draught at the Craft Beer Party 2011, at Biyagura. Amber-red color with a high, fine head. Fruity, caramel aroma, some citrus hops. Sweet, somewhat cloying flavor, but with earthy hops as well, light citrus, rich caramel malt. Malt-centered, with nice malt flavor.

Black with a firm, deep tan head. Lovely looking. Roasted malts, light molasses, chocolate, cocoa powder, and a touch of dark fruits. Full bodied. Roasted malts, chocolate, light milk, some molasses, cocoa, and dark ripened fruit in the way back. A surprisingly nice beer. I wish I had picked up two, actually.

Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. Medium amber, with almost no head. Fruity, caramel aroma with some layered malts. Quite ale-like. Sweet, slightly candy-like flavor, with dark fruits. Nice tasting but not really bock like. Palate also too crisp.

Tap at the Gifu Beer Matsuri 2015. Full, rich, and tasty. Much improved. Draught at the 2009 Central Japan Craft Beer Party. 7/3/7/3/13 Rather dark orange-gold with a low head. Fragrant wheat malt, banana, and clove aroma. Slightly tart tasting, with rich malts, banana and a bit of citrus. Creamy, nice balance. Sweetness is controlled. Not terribly exciting, but decent stuff.
