Little sweetness and you get the Sakura and the honey on there. I think…

Nice! Exactly what you’d expect and want. Nice and sharp, good maltiness. Light hoppiness. Big surprise.

Tap at Server Land. Cloudy orange, small white head. Taste is weizen like (!), banana, some citrus hoppiness strangely, creamy, bit of berries, herby. Aroma is grainy, bit creamy. Alright.

Tap at Gifu Beer Matsuri 2017. Supposed to be an older, hoppier recipe from Dortmund. Dark brown with lace, cloudy. Nose of caramel, berries, raisins. Rich malt flavor, dried fruit, cherries. Rich, full, sweet. Interesting. 6/3/7/4/13

Tap at the Gifu Fest. A deep dark blackish brown with a minimal amount of beige foam. Bready cocoa aroma. Alright but dull, then again it’s not the most exciting style either for me.

Tap at Takumiya, back after many years. Flat black color with some lace. Nose is chocolate and soy sauce. Rather flat body, nice chocolate flavor, tingly hop finish. Decent enough but not very exciting.

Tap at Kyoto Fest 2017. Clear orange color. Malty nose, estery peaches, bread. A bit sweet, very fruity and estery. Peaches and oranges. Decent but simple.

Tap at Kyoto Fest 2017. Nose is stone fruit, biscuits. Hazy golden orange color. Sweet and malty, biscuits, seems like German malt to me again, caramel, stone fruit, maybe a touch of diacetyl. Ok.

On tap at the Kyoto Fest. A deep gold color with a pillowy white head. The hop bouquet is grassy & herbal but nice. The first thing you get is a malt sweetness then a sharp hoppy bitterness of mint and herbs. A fun ipa, these guys surprised me as I wasn’t expecting much.

Tap at Kyoto Festa.Rich nose of stone fruits, oranges, biscuits and pepper. Malt is rich and clean. Rich, malty flavor, great fruit, peaches, apricot, biscuits. Prickly, peppery finish. I sense Munich malts and a nice German aspect to the malts (confirmed by the brewer). Nice, continental style IPA.
