Bottle from the brewery. Dry, spicy, minerals and light caramel. Medium orange amber with lace. Pretty rich malt, more than Gero, caramel, toast, light coffee notes. Minerals. Don’t really taste the pumpkin but it seems to add depth. Light, not too sweet, finishes dry, spicy, clean. Decent.

Bottle from the brewery. Roasty malt nose, dark chocolate, cafe au lait, bit of fruit. Just a hint of corn on the cob (sweet corn is added). Not bad, but a little weak. Dark brown with a low, thick head. Roasty, slightly fruity flavor, more coffee. Rather simple but not off. Light, crisp, a bit fruity, with a dry finish. A bit boring but not bad.

Bottle from the brewery. Malty nose, caramel, toast, bit of sulfur(from the spring water?). Medium amber orange, clear, with a thick, low head. Dry, malty, alt-like, but more spicy than I remember their alt. Crisp, dry, finish. Rather light. Tingly, bready, prickly finish. Rather good. I think it’s the alt recipe, just with spring water substituted in.

Bottle from the brewery, as Hida Craft Beer Kolsch. Nose is buttery, biscuit malt, honey, lemon. Bright, clear golden. Effervescent. Flavor is sweet biscuity malts with quite a bit of diacetyl. Hops are there, though, prickly and spicy, and it finishes with a crisp bitterness. Slightly lemony too. If they could lose the diacetyl, I think it would be quite good. Still drinkable.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks mom for this bottle! Cloudy pale yellow. Aroma is wheaty, yeasty, with mild fruitiness, citrus, and a bit of spiciness. Wheaty flavor, yeasty, rather dry, with a tart hint, with a bit of citrus, mild spiciness, graininess, a fruity note, and a mildly bitterish finish. Light-bodied. Drier and not as fruity as a Hefeweizen. Pretty refreshing.

Bottle from the brewpub. Dry, minerally aroma, light caramel, not very rich. Nice cloudy amber with a fine, low head. Light, dry flavor, caramel and minerals, quite surprising bitterness. A bit thin and watery, with a slight tang as well. Not all that good, and not enough malt for an alt. Dry and metallic.
