Pale muted gold color. Not much hops aroma. Served very cold and has a dry hopped appeal. Though there is little malt character. Tastes leafy/floral but the body is only medium and ends with more dry hops and a little subdued on the finish body wise.

Cask. Warm, brownish orange color with some red hues. Nutty malt aroma. I enjoy the hops/malt balance with the even bitter finish. Has a dry nutty feel with a smooth velvety texture. Tastes like toffee and graham crackers. Served at the proper temperature and absolutely flat. A great beer. Could use some more body and a bit more complexity.

On tap at Alexander Street Pub on Park Street in Rochacha NY. Brown color, with some red tinges. Dry somewhat nut aroma. Has a bit too much of an alcohol taste, heavy without having as much character as it should. Dry malty flavor and medium body are nice, but could use a bit more complexity, some hops maybe. I would have to try this again to give a better rating, as I was also pretty toasted, as most people at Alexander street are.

Muddy dark brown; cocoa, hint of coffee in the nose. Semi-sweet chocolate in the finish. Otherwise a straight porter with no surprises.

Brown in colour, almost absent in smell. Nice bitter flavour, but not real strong. No balance between the elements of the beer. Had from the tap at the Old Toad in Rochester, New York.

Flat. That being said, it tastes more like a plum drink than much else. Dont really get the beer connection with it. Just a mellow, even, plum taste that needs reworking if this is going to be a good beer.

A very good beer with sushi! Find this one at California rollin in Village Gate Square, Rochester. This beer has a pleasant bitter nose on it, with (suprise) wasabi notes. Very subtle though, not what I was expecting. Finishes like a wonderful APA should. A very meaty beer, with a clean flavor and even hopping.

Amber ale. Light bodied - near thin, nice balanced spicyness, low bitterness.

Nut brown. Rather big on the hops and low on the malt, but then I do like hops, so...

Lightly spicy amber ale (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). Fairly light bodied and refreshing for a spiced Christmas ale. However, this is Buffalo and in December a little extra meat on its bones would come in handy.
