Straight from the can. Sorry! Bit sweet, bit plastic like, but alright. Omiyage beer but when in Toyama it does the job.

Can from Tokyu Food Show. Copper coloured with big beige head that fades quite quickly. Very clear. Aroma is fruity, maybe strawberry bit slightly creamy too. Also lots of sweet malt in there and a little bit of funkiness. And some mustiness too. Taste is quite pleasant, initially sweet malt, then a touch of fruitiness with just a hint of bitterness at the end. Quite thin and lifeless though. Quite like the funky element with the creaminess, but probably won't rush to have it again. In conclusion, ok. Rerate straight from the can in Toyama. Light roast, caramel sweetness, it's alright. Better than the kolsch. Very malty and does the job

light amber color. The nose is very malty and almost smells like wort. Very very fruity mouth but low bitterness. Dry and fairly undistinguished. For their 20th anniversary they made one more beer and put as little effort into it as possible, it seems

Tap at the brewery. Fiery red color. Subdued minerally fruity nose. Very clean, some apple crumble and oranges prance in the mouth. Not amazing depth, but well made and decent enough.

Can from Natural Lawsons. Drank straight from the can. Strong sweet and fruity nose. Sweet on the palate and malty with some weird stewed peaches and plastic notes. Finish is sweet and tiring after a few sips. Couldn’t finish and tossed the can in the first recycling bin on the way to the station.

Unazuki Alt 5% Can from 7-11 in Toyama for 400 yen, served in a German style glass maybe a wilibecher? Disclaimer: altbiers are one of least favorite styles. A clear Amber with a fizzy beige head that didn't last more than a second. The nose is a fruity sharp nutty caramel. The beer comes off a bit slick and syrupy sweet nutty caramel before finishing with a super-dry finish. Meh, fairly average and as expected not my thing at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Unazuki Kolsch 5% Served in a stange. It has a sweet grainy malt aroma with a just a whiff of hops and possibly an Ashley character. Fairly light bodied, with a surprisingly bitter earthy character, some ash (but slight) and a sharp dry finish. Ok, a bit jumbled though. Once it warmed up it started to get some lactic sour funk notes while remaining bitter, weird. These guys must have sanitation issues...

6% I like that they list canned(1/6) & best by (6/25) dates under the can on a sticker. Am drinking it about 2 months after canning. A dark reddish brown pour which is black with ruby tints around the edges & a tan head in the glass. The aroma is malty, raisins, figs, dried persimmons. Quite fruity. The body is medium-light with a somewhat slick mouthfeel. The taste is quite interesting, that dried fruit sweetness, then malty caramel before finishing on a roasted ban-cha like note. Pretty good, the nose is fruity, the body is a bit weak, the taste is fairly balanced between dried fruits & roasted brown tea notes(koucha/bancha).
