Although he had been involved in developing the company since the 2000s, Marc-Antoine officially takes the reigns in 2015. In order to ensure the family company’s future development, a new brand identity is born. Les Vergers de la Colline becomes Cidery Milton, Quebec’s bold and inspiring leader in cider. This change allows the company to focus more strongly on what it has become and to emphasize the exceptional quality of its products.

Bottle: Poured a clear pale yellow color cider with medium carbonation. Aroma of dry apple notes with white wine notes. Quite a departure from the sweet cider we are used to drink. Love the complexity in this one while retaining some great drinkability.

A lightly hazed golden cider with a thin white head. In aroma, a beautiful complex mix of Brett, citrus pulp, nice and smooth, wild. In mouth, a nice tart apple with light Brett, very nice and smooth, very smooth. Cask Days 2014.

Cask: Poured a hazy dirty amber color cider. Aroma consists of funky Brett notes and dry apple notes with some tart and oak notes also identifiable. Taste is dominated by funky notes with Brett notes clearly perceptible. Finish is mildly tart with clear oak presence. Good but not sure that cask is best way to serve this cider. I think a bit of carbonation would have been preferable.

Cask: Poured a medium amber color cider. Aroma of light funky notes with some dry apple notes. Taste is a mix between dry apple notes with some light residuals sugar notes, some oak and light Brett funky notes that are also perceptible. Good balance between the different flavours without too much acidity or tart notes.

Bottle: Poured a deep dark copper color cider with an oily like texture. Taste of sweet apple is quite intense but still well balanced and not overly sweet. Complex notes of apple pie and brown sugar caramel are really interesting while being also easily drinkable.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color cider with some good carbonation. Aroma of dry lemon notes with some dry apple notes is quiet surprising and well into unknown territory for me. Taste is a mix of dry apple juice with light funky notes with some dry lemon notes and finish also includes light citrusy notes. Very interesting and original mix which would be great for any hot weather. This cider is really pushing boundaries.

A very pale blonde cider with aroma of sweet apple jam, nice and smooth, light strawberry, very pleasant. In mouth, a nice tart apple with nice acidity, refreshing, nice for the summer. On tap at Baril Roulant.

A beautiful golden ice cider with a nice aroma of cooked apple, light mineral notes, smooth alcohol, very nice. In mouth, a delicious apple sauce with light grassy notes, loads of sugars, tingling mouth, very nice. On tap at Brasseurs Du Temps.
