Draft at the source. Brown color. Aroma of nutty vanilla. Taste is vanilla and cocoa. Odd enough to see pumkin beers in August, but Christmas beers??

Not as gruesome as I imagined it might be. Pours black with ok head and lacing. Only light peanut butter and jelly taste, a little more of the former. Some musk and roast present in decent quantity. Had a taste of this through Ed at Churchkey. Thanks!

Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Not sure who’s beer this was, but thanks! Pitch black color, smooth black oil notes, with a small tan head. Aroma was light roast, plenty of nutty notes, grape jelly notes. Flavor was like a liquid peanut butter and jelly donuts. Interesting. pretty good. Will keep my eye out for this one in the future.

Bottle shared by Jake at weekly tasting. Thanks! Pours dark brown tan head. Nose/taste of green pepper, more green pepper, coffee, bourbon, oak, cocoa nib and touch of roast peanut. The green pepper dilutes a bit as it sits in the glass. Medium body.

Pours a dark cola into a shaker. Mocha head quickly crackles and recedes to skim surface. Peanut, vanilla, and milk chocolate aromas. Sharp and watery upfront turning to chocolate and peanut in the medium length sweet grape finish.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a dark caramel-orange color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was bitter and dryish with grapefruit and mango. The flavor was bitter and tangy grapefruit, mango, a dry middle then vague tropical fruit and a hint of toasted caramel. Long dry and bitter grapefruit and mango finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Pours dark bronze into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel and toffee aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and mango upfront turning to mango before the lasting bitter pith finish.

Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a huge foamy tan head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with notes of nut and vague fruit. The flavor was dry and roasty with notes of nut, coffee and the faintest hint of fruit. Long dry and roasty nut and coffee finish. Medium body. Decent but disappointing.

22oz bottle I picked up at Pizza Boy’s bottle shop. Pours an inky black with some thick, brown head. Nose is to the point, huge milk chocolate, dry roasted peanuts, lacto sugar, malt, a little cola. Flavor is more mild than the nose, still plenty of milk chocolate, still some distinct dry roasted peanut, molasses, cola. Full, sweet finish. Kitschy.
