Sixer from Tomb Thumb just outside of Dallas. Pint glass @The Lodge. Tall, pale malt head. Dusty but clear, orange amber brew. Veggie, malt, pie dough nose. Taste is like a helles, weighed down by a lot of straight pumpkin puree. Starchy, goopy, heavy doughy notes. Merciful bite of bitterness that isn't enough. No spice thankfully, but a twinge of vanilla & salt creep in at the end. Fresh. Okay.

A 12 oz can of a new Full Grown imperial stout, new to me anyway. Ingredients I like, time to move along. Bought at Mr. T’s locally, opened and being poured into my ABGB snifter. A motor oil pour with a swell, slender, dark tan skim. The nose is grain, chocolate and a touch of coconut. The taste is a move up from the smell. Rather bitter, little sweetness, dark chocolate, coconut in a significant measure, vanilla and multi grain bread. A full sensation, potent it appears and a strong bitter presence. Mature brew, no flight of fancy.

I think I can approve of blood orange as an addition to an IPA. A 12 oz can that appears to have been born on 10/6/21 and came to me from the nearest HEB. Flip the tab and pour inside of my Great Heights tulip glass. I see a cloudy, pale orange body with representative head of almost white foam, quickly disappearing. I smell a little bit of hops and a lot of sweet orange. The taste mostly matches the nose and that is good. Orange for sure and I can only assume it is blood orange, pine lightly, a touch of turpentine, white bread and nature. The abv is nowhere to be detected. Pretty nice for a sedate style.

Repeating an old joke, what do you have with Gunnar and Matthew together? A Full Nelson. You may have to google it. I am in possession of a 12 oz can compliments of Total Wine in Ft. Worth over the Thanksgiving weekend. Flip the top and then pour inside of the nice Chimay glass. Sometimes you just have to go with it. A cloudy, hazy, lemonade-yellow body. And a strong head of parchment foam. The scent permeates the room. Pineapple, pine and dankness. A good taste to go along. Juice, pineapple, a light touch of lemon, a varnish astringence and a bit of hops. The sweetness and the bitterness are a dead heat. Decent, not great.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent gold with a moderate creamy white head. Aroma suggests citrus candy, then wallops hints of dankness. Strange impact. Med body; foamy carbonation. Flavor is sort of citrus candy, very strong/dankish citrus. Dry, almost. Bitter? Strangely not much more than moderate. Overall it's quite a tasty ale.

12 oz. Aroma has notes of vanilla, clove, cinnamon, wet stone, dark bread, nutmeg. Pours very dark brown to black with a half finger tan foam that falls into a ring somewhat quickly. Taste is sweet and spicy with a moderately bitter edge; tastes like iced pumpkin rolls. Alcohol is hidden extremely well--tastes like it could be half it's 14.9% strength. Above average pumpkin stout.
