Alright, citrusy lager, hints of wheatiness.

Not my favourite. But Sake beers never really do it for me. Feels a bit boozy.

Very fruity in a good way. Low carb. Maybe even squash feel. Like it!

Pretty standard saison. High on the clove spiciness. Not my favourite. Quite creamy.

Initial ginger. Soft pale ale, malty, quite nice.

Weird. Malty, yeasty, not so bad but not sure it’s intentional. Bit sweet.

Bottle from Furusato Nozei. Last of 5; hard to keep my hopes up. Spicy, minerally nose, chocolate syrup, wheat. More like a Belgian dark wheat than a dunkelweizen. Lightly roasty. Pitch black, glowing, with pretty lace. Nice dark chocolate, light coffee, pear, apple. Not infected, this one. Still minerally, spicy yeast, a bit confusing but not bad at all. Bitter, lightly roasted finish. Body is a bit think and oily. Not at all sure what this is supposed to be--I guess stout works better than dunkelweizen, which it obviously is not. By far the best of the 5 I got.

Bottle from the brewery via Furusato Nozei. Still have a bit of a cold, so considering the other glowing reviews, it might be the right time to open this. Reasonably nice citrus nose, grapefruit and lemon, a bit of that minerally edge but not as infected as the first two I had. Hazy golden orange with a low head. Flavor is orange and grapefruit, some apricot. Decent. Light, oily, honey malts. This one is not totally infected, though as it warms it is giving me a strange, harsh finish. It is soapy and the body lacks sharpness. Drinkable, but nowhere near good.

Tasting set @ Furusato matsuri. As Paradise Beer Factory Goa IPA (6,5%). Poured murky orange, some white foam. Aroma is quite sweet, lots of Citra but not very balanced and feels somewhat parfumy. Taste is really sweet, concentrated sugary peach from a tin. Hops there but bitterness is quite low and sweetness is too high for me. Quite meh, with many flaws - but could somehow finish my tasting cup.
