The aroma is bright hops with correct sweetness. Has good foam on a foggy yellow body. Flavour is bright hops and good grain, well balanced. Crisp in just the right way. A very nice, kölsch, refreshing.

Draught @ Stanley Park. Dark amber, slight haze. Thick head, lots of toasty malts, crackers, some dark sugars and abundant fruitiness of English yeast - probably Fullers). Full body. Rich, with nice fruity depths. Dark sugars. A bit bitter in the finish. Has the character of an English barley wine, but American strength.

Had this on nitro at the brewpub. Dark brown. Thick nitro head. Lots of toasty malts, cookies, coffee. Nice malty complexity on this one. A bit light in the body, husky and hollow on the palate. Coffee grounds, and not much sugar to balance. A bit of a letdown after that nice aroma.

Very pale. Stone fruit and pineapple hop nose. Moderate bitterness, a bit yeasty, and it's got a nice hop. Dryish yeasty finish.

Tart. Lots of apricot and a fair bit of rosemary. Just a little bit of saltiness. Decent, sort of balanced gose.

Cloudy, but a vibrant pale, with a thick head. Medium bitterness and a lot of fruity hops. Low alcohol, and light balance. But balanced nonetheless. A touch yeasty but on the whole this is a well-made and refreshing session ale.

Can. Pale yellow, just a slight haze. Not much head. Has a fruity-spicy hop nose, with a touch of pale malt. On the palate, it's sweet, but does bring some hop character. The malts are clean, balanced, if a touch thick. So it's not perfect, but it is refreshing, and since it was part of my marathon swag bag (for the marathon I didn't run, of course), I think it would refresh me at the end of that. 3.2 is a pretty high score for this style.

Looks like a can that came from the brewpub - makes sense since they have a brewing facility and can drive the beer to Delta to can it up. Looks amber, not actually that much haze. Not much head. There's sort of a peachier character, a bit of pine as well, on the nose, and a fair bit of sweet malts. On the palate, it feels big but the malt character itself is actually a bit thin. The bitterness is the same, giving the beer an overall watery effect. But then if you take it as an APA, it's quite good, with a nice peach fruitiness, touch of plum. A touch of malt in the finish. Definitely not as hazy as some of the beers I've had at the brewpub, but hey, I still like what's in the glass.

Quite pale, touch of haze, just a thin head. Sweet, sort of grainy. The body is quite watery, the bitterness sometimes seems too much but then seems not enough. An odd duck, but then it’s the first NA K�lsch I’ve ever had. As NA beers go, it’s one of the better ones I’ve had. I don’t think it’s anything special as a beer, but as NA beer goes, yeah, fits with the trend towards experimental NA and I’m happy to see it. If I imagine body and a touch of noble hop, this might get there.

Just a slight haze on this. Medium head. Light fruitiness up front, with a bit of pale malt. On the palate, a bit of minerals, a bit of weed, and some overripe fruits. The pale malts balance it well but I’m not sure I really dig the hop that they used in this one (V6 I think).
