On tap at FHF 2024, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out funky peaches, some THP, and some grains. Flavour is grainy, with THP galore, gentle peaches and toasted grains. Tons of Cheerios. Not egregious but it's not a work of art.

On tap at FHF 2024, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted grains, multigrain notes, and cereal notes. Flavour is grainy and crisp, with grainy notes, cereal, and some rustic saison yeast. Rustic, grainy and crisp. Good stuff.

On tap at FHF 2024, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma has tons of coconut upfront, without much else. Flavour is dry, with light coconut, dry caramel and some apple skins. Mainstream bullshit done in the worst of ways. Not egregious but pretty useless.

FHF 2024. Appearance: hazy pale copper with a white head. Aroma: bready, a bit grainy, a bit of veggies. Taste: along the same lines, quite bitter. Overall: meh.

Persephone is adrift at sea…they used to have a sense of purpose to their beer; I would hop on a ferry for their Oktoberfest, and crush Amarillo Pils at Darby’s Gastown until the keg ran out. Now Persephone chases lazy gimmicks. This one is hazy and dull. Thick head. Lots of carbonation. Cheap pineapple juice, basil maybe but only because I know to look for it. Basic kettle sour base. If there was ever a brewery where I want to be the CEO, this is it, and beers like this that make me sad are the reason why.

Bright and pale. Medium head. Hops are woody, tobaccoey, herbaceous. Lean body, dry and bitter. Oversteeped tea tannins and woody hops, those dried bay leaves from 20 years ago at your grandma’s place…this isn’t bad, more like old school good, if they made session IPA in the late 90s.

473 ml can. Pours a pale gold with light head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of cereal and floral hops. Flavors of cereal and Pilsner malts. Crisp. Good enough for the low ABV and when cold.

473 ml can. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of toasted malts, a bit of candied fruit, and a bit of bittering hops. Flavors follow same with emphasis on malts; dry and cereal like. Bitter finish. OK, but like homebrew from a couple of decades ago.

473 ml can. Pours a very pale hay color with lots of carbonation. Aromas of coconut water and a bit of apple. Flavors of green coconut, tart grapes and unripe apples. Not good.

500mL bottle, pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is loaded with oak barrels, bitter dark chocolate, wood, and toasted malt. Flavour is bitter, boozy, and oaky, with lots of bitter dark chocolate, lots of oak, wood, toasted malt, and booze. A bit lacking in refinement and under-carbonated, but it's got some nice flavours and depth. Good but needs some work.
