Part of flight at cliff house in north Vancouver. Gold pour and sudsy head. Nose is crisis and coriander and wheat. Tastes of soft wheat, orange peel, lemon, coriander and some banana. Lively palate and lingering finish.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear-ish gold with small white head. Light bready malt, touch of crust in the background, super feint hint of oak. Okay.

473mL can, pours a hazy amber golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of bready malt, maybe a hint of oak, and a touch of sweetness. Flavour is much the same, with bready malt, some oak, almost a corn-like adjunct-y character. Nicely constructed.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has caramel malts, very gentle dank notes. Flavour has muted dank and piney hops, caramel malts. Pretty decent.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has banana, spicy Belgian yeast, and something vegetal. Flavour has a good helping of esters, but only moderate sweetness, cloves and coriander, wheaty malts. Carbonation is quite low. Still has too much chemical bitterness to not feel a bit clumsy. Not a proper tripel, per se, but, much better use of Belgian yeast than other BC attempts. I'd say this needs work, but given how long this has been in production it feels more like the brewer has given up trying to create an authentic Belgian beer and has settled for something palatable to the average person.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear pale yellow with white head. Aroma has citrus zest and pine. Flavour has lemon zest, pine; a bit sterile, like a cleaner. Hop expression is a bit weak. Not super exciting, but still pretty solid.

22/08/2024 Flight pour at brewery. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Aroma has banana, cloves, orange peel, rotting vegetables. Flavour has spicy Belgian yeast, thin fake banana, peppery bite. Not really working for me this time around. 05/04/2024 330mL bottle. Pours clear blonde with white head. Aroma is herbal with notes of Belgian yeast and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is very bright and herbal with solid notes of Belgian yeast and cracker malts. Refreshing and well done. 6+3+7+3+15=3.4

Slightly doughy malts and a bright lemon character. And someone stole some shit while I was enjoying this. That also happened at Savio Volpe, too. Fuck that place.

355ml can. Pours a clear copper with a small, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Mild aroma of bready caramel malt and floral hops. Sweet flavour of biscuity pale malt, caramel, toffee and grassy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average to soft carbonation. Well balanced. Not bad.

I visited these guys on a layover in Cancouver ages ago. 33 Acres of Darkness Schwarzbier 5% Deep black with a thick beige foam and big roasty cocoa aroma. Medium to light bodied and a touch dry. The taste is very roasty cocoa. Light and dry refreshing dark lager, not a huge fan of the style but this is a good example of it.
