Draught at the brewery
Blond, slightly hazy, with fine perlage. Notes of apples and spirit, maybe stewed apples; so, Calvados. Dry and thin mouthfeel, some cider, and so many problematic fermentation compounds, fusels, plastic, higher alcohols, light acetic, that the spirit only helps to highlight, spirit without a clear bourbon character. And I paid double for this crap ($4.60 for 6oz).

On tap next door at the experiment room. Aroma is soft sweet apple, Has a good cloudy white body with a bit of foam. Flavour is nice bright cider, soft apple but not too sweet, mellow white wine notes. Crisp finish. This is a nice cider, well crafted, a bit of a rarity in these parts.

Brown and hazy. Thin head. Earthy, figgy, toffeeish nose. Strong, sweet, again figs and toffee. Quite estery. Overall, it's decent, but it's a bit boozier than I'd prefer.

Aroma is a very soft sweet paint thinner slightly hidden by some caramel. Has modest head sitting on top of a clear copper body. Flavour is heavy sweetness with soft citrus hints. Mouthfeel is sweet and a bit watery. Alcohol is at least invisible but it's just okay otherwise.

Aroma is soft orange funky pine sol orange cleaner. Has a modest head on top of a clear gold liquid. Flavour is nice oily peach and soft ale notes. Good balance on the mouth, nice oiliness. It's a fine ISA, the low abv is not noticed.

Has a very faint licorice aroma but nothing else. Okay foam is on top of a brown black body. Flavour is sweet and dark molasses with roasted barley hints. It's okay but could me more crisp on the mouth. Just all right.

Soft wheat and dough aroma with citrus hints, cloudy yellow liquid. Flavour is a lot of dough and banana. Slightly wet finish. Rather charming.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp, spicy saison yeast, with biscuity malt and some gentle hops in there. Flavour is along the same lines, with a nice balance between the spicy saison yeast and floral, citrusy hops. The hybrid works quite well here. It's anything but authentic, but the yeast is used well, without any of those sweet esters. Good stuff.
