Description
Once upon a time four beer lovers came together to brew a beer… such a simple thing can start something bigger. During brewing wild plans were made, there were even some good ideas and a spark of ambition started to emerge. “Are we able to brew a decent beer?” was the question and the rest is history…

Rob de Zwaan & co. Brew their beers at Koperen Kat in Delft.

Clear blond to orange beer, big fizzy creamy off-white head, pretty adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit fruity, some orange peel, yeasty, sugary, bit messy. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet, sugary, banana, alcohol, bit spicy, lots of orange peel, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: sweet and sugary, spicy, some coriander?

Bottle. Pours dark, rather clear amber, with a big, but very fluffy, mildly stable white head. Smell is Very malt-forward. Some caramelly notes, as well as some clear toast, and mild biscuit. taste is mostly malty, very toasty ! caramel is way less than expected. A hint of bitterness towards the end, no real yeasty notes to me. mild fruityness, more from the hops than from the esthers. Still though, an IPA should be way more hoppy than this ! I do like the taste though ! the carbonation is rather low, which I like, but did not expect after a big head when poured softly. Medium body. overall, this is an OK beer. The problem is though, this is sold as an IPA. That creates expectations this one does not meet .
