Shared by my friend Joshua. On tap at Craft Beer Live 2014. A ruby brown pour with a nice smokey aroma. The flavor is pretty decent with a good smokey flavor, some fruitiness & caramel.

On tap at Craft Beer Live 2013 in Osaka. It poured a dark reddish brown with a light brown head of foam. It had a decent smokey aroma and nice smokey flavor with some bacon notes. Nice, easy to drink with a solid flavor profile. I think I am liking smoked beers more and more.

On tap at Craft Beer Live Namba 2014. It pours a deep gold with a solid spicy & cracker/biscuit aroma. A nice full bodied beer, with a tasty cracker pils malt body with a dash of spicy rye. Pretty good. Not an adventurous brewery but solid.

Draught at Craft Beer Live 2012. Pale gold with a fine head and lots of bubbles rising. Uninteresting nose, with a little lemon and honey, and some rice. Heavy body for a beer with rice in it. Rich flavor, with rice and honey and lemony hops. Ok, a bit like a cream ale from my youth. --- Beer merged from original tick of Tango Oukoku Meister on 06 Jun 2023 at 08:52 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: New owner, new label. Let’s see how the beer is. A rice lager. Nose is buttery diacetyl, citrus, caramel. Slick, sweet, buttery flavor, butterscotch, grassy hops, decent bitterness. Very soft and velvety. Don’t really taste the rice. Don’t dig the diacetyl but it’s not a complete game ender. Drinkable, but could be better.
