Draught @ Popeye, Tokyo. Pours clear dark orange with a tiny head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, toffee and earthiness. Taste is sweetish, earthy and caramely malty with some pine and toffee. Finish is sweet and slightly syrupy with some earthiness, berries and herbal notes. Decent.

Hazy white-yellow, not much foam. Aroma is quite usual cider one, apple peels and fermentation, not much bitterness from dry-hopping is there. Tastes also quite normal, nice sweet and a bit sourish, very drinkable fermented apple drink. Malty edge (this cider is supposed to have some beer addition blended in) is not very evident, maybe contributing to that average medium body that it has. Nice one.

Oddly listed as a Barley Wine at Popeye’s, seems like a Scotch Barley Wine. Pours a dark brown reddish color with a small white head. A big hot sweet nose. The flavor is light banana, lots of sugars, light heat. Pretty smooth. Toffee.
