Pint at the brewery pours a watery black with some lacey grey head. Nose has malt, toast, earth, smoke. Flavor is sweet, malt, caramel, dried mushroom. Dry finish. Nice.

Pint at the brewery, pours a murky gold with some fluffy white head. Nose has pine, pith, some malt, herbs. Flavor is bitter off top, herbal, piney, soapy. Finishes medium bodied, bitter.

Pour from a bottle @ BeerFes Yokohama, September 17th, 2017. I think this was leftover from The International Beer Cup 2017, held at the same location during previous days. Light golden pour. Nose has some caramel, bready. Really nothing like IPA. Taste similar, light bready hops. No lingering finish. Very average.

Tap at GJBF Osaka 2016. Chocolate nose, a bit of soy, a touch of citrus. Hazy black with pretty lace. Cocoa flavor, some soy and umami, nicely hopped. Crisp, good foreign style stout.
