Tap at OBF. Pours dark gold. Aroma is strongly floral. Med body. Flavor is very hoppy and bitter. Not burningly harsh, but very bitter. Light caramel backbone. Finishes NW dry and bitter. Very tasty.

Bottle - Sweet and yeasty on the nose with a little bread. Golden with a thin persistent head. Yeast profile overwhelms the taste, but there is some hop bitterness and some orange peel and grapefruit.

Cloudy amber beer. Light toffee malt and hops on the nose. Semi dry palate. Rich grapefruit hops, not overly bitter. Nice hint of lime. Finishes soft and dry with more grapefruit hops. Decent.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with foamy head. Hoppy and piney aroma, not all that full. Lekker full body with lots of hop. Peppery finish

On tap for Hard Liver '12, pours an opaque orangey dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of candied sugar, caramel, twizzlers - very sweet. Flavour is syrupy with caramel sweetness, no hop presence, just lots of sweetness. Palate is syrupy thick with an almost cloying sweetness. Quite nice but overly sweet.

Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours hazy dark glowing amber with a beige creamy head. Aroma is quite malty with some floral aspects. Med body. Flavor is an English ESB morphing into a barley wine. Quite nice.

12 oz bottle into lager glass. My bottle reads 6.1 % ABV. Pours a hazy orangeish-copper with a medium off-white head that collapses in a minute, leaving a thin blanket and collar of foam; leaves some decorative lacework. Aroma is caramel, buttered biscuits; not very assertive. Doesn’t smell very hoppy like it says in the description up there. Taste is mostly sweet with bitterness coming up secondary and a faintly tart edge. This is one of the sweetest pales I’ve ever had--not in a cloying caramel malt kind of way, though, because it’s really tasty. Different. Carbonation and body are medium and the texture is creamy. Very good.

On tap. Pours out a dark brown/black topped with a creamy tan head. Aroma was nice aroma of pine hops and roast malts. Taste was more of the pine and roast malts. There was a little chocolate and even some smoke I thought on this one.

Shipped to me by my wife on a trip to Portland. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with lots of minuscule floating bits and huge orange-white foamy head that lingered and produced good lacing. the aroma was faint vague fruity, floral and perfumey hops with a touch of underlying sweetness. The flavor was tart, tangy, bitter and sour with a bit of Sweettart candy, lemon, grapefruit and pine. The finish was long, dry, tart and bitter with lingering lemon. Medium body. Fairly subdued for an IPA. Ok.
