The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Drier than exspected, nevertheless very drinkable. Good beer!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Fine foam. A little bit drier then other Kölsch, very drinkable. Not bad!

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Aroma like champagne. Tastes good, but too less fruity. Nevertheless very drinkable. An average hefeweizen.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Hazy, amber golden with tiny impurities and a small, rough, off-white head. Nasty, nasty skunky and fusty aroma. Medium body, a little flat with a lightly malty feel and then again these extremely moldy accents. Clearly an infected bad bottle. 191207

Bottled. A golden beer with sediment floating around under a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops, malt, and acidic lemon. The flavor is sweet malty with dusty notes of hops, but also some acidity.

Test vom 5.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 4,12,14,13,10,12 - 11,55

Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured, slightly hazy, smaller, slowly diminishing white head; fruity nose (peaches) with a grainy touch; sweetish (grainy, as well) flavour, medium bodied; faint illusions of hops in the sweet-fruity-grainy finish. A bit unbalanced, but drinkable.......

(swing top bottle, 6% abv) Hazy, pale golden colour with yeast-floaties and a short foamy white head. Sweet malty, slightly grainy and fruity (pear) aroma with a tinge of alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, smooth carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly fruity taste with notes of honey and marzipan; sweet malty, quite alcoholic finish with a very faint bitterness. Smells and tastes “obergärig” and is most probably the first Kölsch-Bock I had in my life, but facing this performance I hope it has been the last one.

(swing top bottle, with thanks to Koelschtrinker) Cloudy, yellow colour with a short frothy white head. Yeasty, moderately sweet and slightly acidic wheat-malty aroma with notes of banana and citrus, accompanied by vanilla phenols and light notes of cloves. Light-sweet flavour, light body impression with a refreshing carbonation. Moderate wheat-character with fruity notes and restrained phenols, what I appreciate; slightly sweet and sour, slim wheaty finish. Decent Hefeweizen “vun Kölle”.

(swing-top-bottle, with thanks to Koelschtrinker!) Hazy, yellow colour with dark yeast floaties and a medium-sized foamy white head. Yeasty, minimal-sweet malty, slightly wheaty and citrousy aroma with strong spicy, gassy notes. Light-sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate to crispy carbonation. Slim yeasty and malty taste with a touch of citrus and soft spicy and herbal notes towards the finish which is pretty slim with a subtle fruitiness. Not an extraordinary brew, but at least refreshing and easy-going.
