Keyaki. Bit too boozy, but taste is good. Grainy and herbal, bit of creamy sweetness. Not overwhelmingly boozy, but has a bit too much of that. Fruity.

Keyaki. Light, unobtrusive, light citrus, grassy, nothing so surprising, but actually just nice. Little bit of biscuity malt.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Lightly fruity, quite malty, bit sweet, persimmon? Something there but subtle. Lightly tropical, easy to drink. British feeling to the malt. Aroma is bit sharp and citrusy. Surprising unlike the taste.

Tap at Watering Hole. Cloudy orange colour, white head. Aroma is full on brown bread malt, bit of banana, bit of spice. Slight veggie frankfurter smell strangely. Taste is sweet, banana, spice, creamy malt. Bit of ice cream too. More fruit too. Pretty nice.

Tap at Gambrinus. Amber clear colour with small gold head. Aroma, not much, bit of hop, bit of spiky malt. Taste is bitter but not overpowering. Citrus hop. Some malt. Ok but not a mind blower and a bit underwhelming. Not bad, but feels a bit lacklustre.

Tap at CBM Jinbocho. Clear amber colour, thin bubbly off-white real ale style head. This was listed as real ale. Aroma is a bit skunky, tropical fruit in the background, lots of malt, bit twiggy. Taste is bready malt, bit of fruit, slight bitterness in the finish. Nice enough. Liked it a bit better at Keyaki. Couple of marks up.

deep golden color. Virtually no head. Spikey tropical fruit notes. Medium full body. Big butter finish. A bit simple and over bitter but ok.

Cask at CBM Awajicho. Nice hoppy nose, citrus, some biscuits. PRetty head on a hazy, copper-colored beer. Decent hop flavor, rather English, bitter. Malt is a bit weak. Smooth and silky. Decent.

On tap at CBM jimbocho terrace. Clear golden brown color with a soapy off white head. Aromas of malt and grain with some butter (diacetyl?) and weird yogurt nose. Taste is like chewed bread and slightly grainy with a rotten fruit sweetness. Very sweet on the palate. Super creamy with a heavy body. It’s like drinking wet bread.
